The Encompass Group is working with a reputable mechanical contractor located in the Cedar Park, TX area looking to add an Estimator to their team. The Estimator will be responsible for creating bids and cost estimates for various aspects of mechanical construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and review project plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Perform detailed takeoffs of plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, and equipment.
- Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs using estimating software, industry standards, and historical data.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other estimators to ensure the accuracy of estimates.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, job site walkthroughs, and client meetings as required.
- Update and manage estimating databases and software.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plumbing estimating, preferably with a mechanical contractor
- Experience with commercial, industrial, and/or residential plumbing
- Proficiency in estimating software
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, building codes, and construction practices
